As a principal, Lesli led both her elementary campus and middle school campus to Exemplary ratings, the highest awarded by the Texas Education Agency. As assistant superintendent over curriculum and instruction, Lesli facilitated the implementation of a comprehensive curriculum management system resulting in higher levels of academic achievement. Today, that success continues and the district is recognized as a top-performing school district. Lesli is passionate about creating and sustaining systems where all students succeed. Her consulting work centers around:
- Comprehensive needs assessments and school improvement practices
- The implementation of a guaranteed and viable curriculum that is aligned to state standards
- Effective instructional and student assessment practices
Lesli believes that exceptional leadership can be developed and any school can be exemplary. Lesli served on numerous boards and held organizational offices at both the local and state levels. She holds a B.S. degree in elementary education from New Mexico State University and a M.Ed. in educational administration from West Texas A&M University.
Lesli Laughter is the president and founder of Learning Blueprints, LLC. She served 32 years in public schools as an assistant superintendent, middle school principal, elementary principal and teacher.
